Organic Cosmetics and Makeup

By jamesmith7 at 2010-02-15 06:28:15
You might not think that it's necessary to go organic when it comes to your blush or foundation, but you might be surprised to know that many other people are going organic in this area. After all, if you are eating an organic diet and you enjoy a natural lifestyle, it seems a little contradictory to pile a whole host of chemicals on your face when getting made up.

The name Green cosmetics has derived from the nature itself. The ingredients of the products are natural and therefore the over all result is satisfactory with fewer side effects. The organic Emani cosmetics are less chemically infested. The inspiration for the mineral foundation make up comes from the minerals found in the nature. The minerals first are sterilized and then mixed with inorganic colors to produce different shades. These cosmetics are anti-inflammatory. Some of these minerals have shimmer or sparkling naturally like zinc, bismuth etc.

Most of the products being sold by companies like Afterglow use organic ingredients that come from Mother Nature herself. The use of chemicals and harmful ingredients such as bismuth oxychloride, synthetic dyes, and the like are strictly against the company's principles, so women who buy these organic products won't have to worry about harmful chemicals being applied onto their faces at all.

Yes, when we care and feel good about our complexion, we are on the stepping stones of success. If average self esteem is what gets us to wake up from the bed each morning, then high self esteem gives us motivation to accomplish something greater and impels us to go for the gusto. Consider this, how do you feel during a day when you feel less attractive because you did not wash your face or apply makeup? Did you feel like seeing anyone, especially the people who you know? Furthermore, consider this, as we age, what is the first area of your body that we usually would like to see improvement? Our face! A healthy complexion can be one of our greatest assets or possibly our biggest shortcomings. Of course we can not look young forever

Part of living healthy should also include being free from chemicals that our bodies can do away with. In addition to eating organic food, we should also aim to use organic cosmetics as well. This is very important because we only have these bodies to live in for the rest of our lives, so it is just right that we give it as much care as possible.

Organic makeup and cosmetics are exactly what they sound like. These beauty products, like organic produce, foods and dairy products, are made completely free of anything "synthetic" or man made. They are made of environmentally friendly, pure earth-made ingredients, and a new and younger generation who is more environmentally and health conscious is just eating them up, so to speak.

Also, remember to be labeled "Organic" a manufacturer needs to use only 70% organic ingredients, so read the label carefully to ensure that the ingredients that are important to you are natural. Don't be fooled by a label stating a product is all natural or organic as a selling point. Read labels, and be sure your organic makeup does not contain chemicals or artificial ingredients.

Many people prefer organic beauty products because they are all natural and chemical free. Many non-organic products use chemicals that are known to be irritating to the skin, and possibly toxic. Some people find when they switch to organic makeup, skin problems - such as eczema - begin to clear up. Also, your skin absorbs products put on it, so anything considered toxic may over time actually harm you. Some powders or mists can be inhaled during makeup application and if the product contains toxins or irritants, you will be inhaling them. This could cause damage and may even be a concern for those with allergies or asthma.

There are actually a lot of benefits when you use organic make up. Experts say that buying organic fruits and vegetable that are organic means that they are created without pesticides or chemicals that can be harmful to you. The cosmetics are made for a much healthier you. There are organic materials that contain oils and herbs. As we all know essential oils offer benefits in the physical, mental and emotional of a person just like in aromatherapy. Herbs are being used to cure physical elements. Of course we used them as part of our cooking. These things are both healthy. It is natural to use them on the face and skin.

Coming to the point of describing the organic cosmetics, they are the natural products made from all the ingredients available in the nature like herbal extracts, seeds, fruits, plant extracts, natural waxes and natural oils. The lipsticks, eye shadows and blushes are made by using the colors of the nature as found in many colored minerals. Lotions and scrubs are made easily from products like honey, Shea butter and avocadoes whereas soaps are made by using palm oil and coconut oil.

However, many people didn't like how these sunscreens looked and wanted something transparent. Manufacturers discovered that by dispersing the titanium dioxide as nanoparticles, it went on clear while still providing sun protection.

The use of nanoparticles in mineral make up was also an attempt to improve the appearance of the product. Pulverizing the minerals to nano-size gave the cosmetics a smoother, more glowing appearance. Consumers liked the change but didn't realize there were associated health risks.
